If they can destroy the one large union left in America, they can deal a huge blow to the middle class, and they know it.

Let's forget how un-American the party is for wanting to cause so much harm to the majority of America, but let's look at the trouble with unions.

Many of the Republican-corrupted states have spent tens of thousands and even hundreds of thousands per job to bring foreign auto makers into their states. In fact, these same "patriotic" Americans are now voting to destroy Amereica's own auto industry. Why?

The problem is with the unions. They give the middle class Americans a community from which they can force political change. This frightens those Republicans who don't consider themselves representatives of the "working class", they're elite. After all, they bring home, including benefits, tens and sometimes hundreds of times more money than those smelly workers.

If they can destroy the Auto workers' union, they can bring down the compensation of all of the auto industry workers to minimum wage or below. There will be no need for the foreign companies to pay union-comparable wages if there is no union, and they'll pay as little as they can get by with.

Destroying the Working Class unions is a Republican's wet dream, and they're rubbing all over themselves trying to make it happen.

So, what's wrong with a middle class worker getting paid well? Isn't that better for American than a corrupt corporate elitist making billions while the workers starve, like Wal-Mart?

The Republican Party does not represent America and it's time everyone saw them for what they really are, elitists.

Holiday Traveling

Okay, this is a bit off topic, but it's worth the read...

I was looking for a quick trip to Vegas for a convention and needed some reasonable accommodations. This has been a goal since the beginning of this congress and they've done a remarkable job of it. Here is just one of numerous Obstructionist articles, but the problem goes much much deeper.

What if the Democratic minority had done such things this harmful to the country while they were a minority? The press would have crucified them. So, why doesn't the Liberal Media plaster these crimes across every newspaper headline? Duh, Geeze, maybe the media isn't so liberal after all.

And, maybe the Republican party isn't really interested in helping America. It's all politics, and we don't need no professional politicians.

Start recalling your Republican Congressmen who are willing to hurt America for their own personal or party gains. After a bad fundraising quarter , MSNBC is reporting that John McCain's campaign manager Terry Nelson and chief strategist John Weaver are leaving the campaign.

UPDATE: Mark Salter, McCain's long-time chief of staff and co-author of his five books, is apparently also leaving the campaign. To
condense it into a format that can be easily understood, here's what I
think it says to the Fox journalists:
Slice and Stuff in the Lies.

But, this isn't the first time we've seen the ILLEGAL Government
Propaganda in action. We all know it's illegal even though many of those
false news outlets will lie to hide their true intent. It's illegal for
the Government to have a propaganda machine, pure and simple. Yet, when
the White House wants to address the voters, they only go to their
propaganda outlet. It's illegal.

It's sick and it's illegal and Fox and Hannity and Coulter really should
be shut down for the damage they gleefully do to our country, but this
is a free country, no matter how hard Bush tries to fix that, and we
still have free speech.

So, how should America deal with a corrupt and deceitful media? How
should we convince the hate mongers that we will no longer accept their
destructive un-American ways?

As hard as it would be to really believe the opposite, but let's pretend
that there was a "Liberal Media." What if there was Liberal Hate Radio?
What would the Liberals do? They would avoid the traitors like the
plague and the monsters would move on to some other disgusting venture.

What should America do with Fox and their ilk? It does no good for the
Liberals to complain about them, just like it would do no good for the
Conservatives to complain about Liberal Hate Radio. It's has to be the
Conservatives who police and boycott their sickies just like it's up to
the Liberals to shut down the sickies on their side.

Has there ever been a successful Liberal Hate Radio show? Of course not.
Then, why are there so many successful un-American Conservative venues?
Because the Conservatives have been failing at their responsibility of
policing their own.

Talk to your Conservative friends, and remind them that it's time for
them to clean out the pool.

Now, here's the full text of the latest Fox memo:

(Note: Spelling and grammar mistakes are exactly as in the memo)

THURSDAY UPDATE:
A couple of thumpees -- to use a variation of Bush's term -- speak today.
Webb has won in Virginia. The balance of power in the Senate is now
51-49 Dem (Sanders and Lieberman will organize with the D's). He'll come
out and concede. Let's take it.'

Rumsfeld had a previous speaking engagement in Kansas. He ought to be in
a fine mood. Can one fake smile hide that much frustration? We'll take
that too.

The elections and Rumsfeld's resignation were a major event, but not the
end of the world. The war on terror goes on without interruption.
Jennifer Griffin sent in info on Hamas' call for attacks on American
interests. And let's be on the lookout for any statements from the Iraqi
insurgents, who must be thrilled at the prospect of a Dem-controlled
congress.

The question of the day, and indeed for the rest of bush's term, is:
What's the Dem plan for Iraq? THis could be a very short live shot for
Jim Angle, but he'll try.

In the House, the newly empowered Dems will shed some fraternal blood
before settling in. Murtha will challenge HOyer for the leadership. A
former hawk v. a political hack. Garrett will observe.

We'll continue to work the Hamas threat to the US that came hours after
the election results. Griffin and Tobin will include in their lives.
Just because the Dems won, the war on terror isnt' over.

Nevada's Coming Elections

Watch for coming news and opinions on Nevada's nearing elections. A quick shot of Ensign along with a most amusing bio is located at Just-Say-Why.com.

Another interesting site contains some interesting information on Gibbons and his run for Governor.

Without a doubt, some of the most despicable humans represent America's current Republican Party. I sure hope they get their party cleaned up.

I was looking over my political mail this evening and ran across a couple notes from Gibbons. Here's a quick glance at just how wrong this man is:

    Oh Iraq:

In support of the recent and continued success of Iraq’s democratic progress ...

Streets once riddled with danger welcomed lines of voters this week, with men and women alike. At least he's doing a great job of destroying the things that make our country strong.

Well, one wrong thing that comes to my mind is what America has become in the world's eye -- a menace.

Hows 'b out we have a moron in the presidency and he goes out and tells the word that there are three countries that are the axis of evil and then he proceeds to invade the only one without an active nuclear weapons program.

Golly gee, I just wonda what the rest of dem two's gonna do. Global Warming, Corruption in the Government, Terrorists blowing up American cities, by the handful, new tapes from Bin Laden, Nukular war with N. Korea, Iran, the EU...

Scary times, indeed.

But you want to know what? There's another, possibly bigger scary monster hidden from us amongst all the rest.

Media Bias.

This isn't an issue about Liberal Bias or Government controlled reporting, or liars in the press corps. No, this is about the state of America's media, and what an awful state it is in.

Maybe someone can correct me if I'm off by a year or two, or even an administration or two, but it doesn't really matter how or who, but what...

If memory serves me right, it was the Clinton years when we lost our respect for the media. The laws that we once held so valuable we the media bias laws that required the press to allow representatives of both sides of an issue to express their points.

Look back even further and you will see that in the 80s America's Media was getting into sensationalization of the news. If it's not sensational, don't bother with it.

Today, we have numerous shows that claim to be "news" that have a known bias and some even have numerous books, websites, and magazine articles that expose their lies on a regular basis. These whistle blowers don't seem to help because the stations continue to spew their lies.

"So, what's the problem?", you say. Well, in Saddam's Iraq, or even in Stalin's Russia, the people knew better than to believe the government media. But, America has been so used to being able to believe our news sources, that we still think we can believe them.

How can we become "United and Strong" again as a country if we all listen to and believe our own news outlets and none of them are required to be honest? We will all become less tolerant and more angry at those stupid people on the other side that can't see how obvious a decision or solution is.

Today, we have a serous problem on our hands, and it'll only continue to worsen. The only solution is to restore truth in the news media and remove sensationalism from the format.

Take a look at the people that are trying to save America and consider joining and contributing to these organizations that are trying to restore integrity to our media. This issue will be too little too late if we wait another year. Act now. Check out the petitions and join up.

Wasted Days and Wasted Senate

With the worst and most negligent Senate in US history, coming to a
complete standstill while the pigs run back to try to mark their place
in the coming feed trough of public taxes, one thing is worth their time and effort. Imagine a government that is so crooked that they would actually have oil executives and shills making environmental decisions for all its citizens. Boy, our news and even the American public would look down our noses at such criminally insane behavior and realize that -- well -- that's what we expect from a backward country like that.

Well, "that" country is America!

There's isn't a patriotic conservative in this country that support those sorts of crimes against our country and against our children's futures. Well, everyone with the exception of the greedy, unpatriotic oil executives.

So, what are you going to do? Are you just going to ignore the problem and wait for someone else to fix your mess?

Are you going to wait until the next election and think twice about voting after you hear all the lies from the Republican party? Yes, that's a good idea! Wait till your mind is so full of lies and hate before you look elsewhere for the real facts?

You made the mess! You clean it up. Get out there and organize a recall of your local worthless Republican representatives that aid and abet the criminal Bush administration. Our strength is in United We Stand, but one of our political parties is trying their hardest to divide and conquer us.

Really, now, tell me. What kind of a president would actually try to weaken America at a time of war? Look at the Open Source initiatives where selfless wizards spend their personal time developing and releasing quality software for the world to use. This group has been joined by a large faction of developers that many refer to as radical.

This infusion of new blood invigorates the Open Source movements, but the old masters watch the new rebels closely. The old party says the new radicals are great as long as we can keep them in check.

I suppose that this his how the Republican party felt with the religious zealots adding a new enthusiasm to the club. The old guard felt all was well as long as they could keep the new monsters in check. Well, I would say that it is obvious by now that the monster is out of control and many in the Republican party feel that the GOP no longer represents their beliefs as a whole. The new blood was great for stirring up excitement and enthusiasm, but now what do we do?

Does the American majority really believe like Kansas does in that the world is flat again, and there’s no such thing as evolution? Of course not, but now, now do we put the monster back in the cage?

The important question at this point is whether it’s too late to put the monster back. Can the real American conservative group regain control of the party or do the radicals have total, unrelenting control?

By far, the majority of conservatives that I talk with feel concerned. Where can they go? They feel turning liberal would be admitting their values were wrong. However, leaning towards the new Republican Lite politicians such as Ms. Clinton, may be an option.

Many Democrats feel that their positions were and are still correct, but in order to keep America working, moving to the center may be worth considering – at least temporarily.

Many more feel that the country has moved much too far to the right as it is and oppose any further move in that direction.

Will the bulk of the Republican Party give up on putting the monster back and just move on? Will the majority of the Democrats move to the center for the sake of the country? Does Hillary really have a chance at advancing her agenda by playing to the middle?

Stay tuned. . .

How to Judge Government Changes

The world has witnessed many changes in the USA Government over the years but the magnitude of changes during the 2000 Bush Administration have been astounding, to say the least. Of course, change for the better can only happen when things change, so change in and of itself is not necessarily bad.

So, lets look at some of the recent changes and compare them with other governments that exhibit those characteristics.

1. Reduce or remove decision-making rights for a subset of the population. This has been done and is still being attempted by such actions as remove women's right to decide when and if an abortion is necessary. Another example is Bush's desire to put gay hatred text in the USA constitution.

Let's see, what governments does this sound like? How about the Taliban's Afghanistan, or Iran, or how about the Al Queida?

Reducing the rights of a select subset of the populations is not a step in the right direction.

2. A fundamental premise of the USA constitution is the separation of church and state. Bush is trying relentlessly to remold the government and its services based on his personal religious leanings. The number of examples is so large that I won't attempt to exemplify any at the risk of diminishing the importance of the others. A quick search on Google will show numerous examples. Pick your favorites.

Now, let's look at some examples of governments that have poor or no separation of church and state. The easy examples are the two examples listed above. How about other examples? How about the reason for the premise being in the constitution in the first place? Everyone knows, at least they did 200 years ago, that religion is not something a government should be deciding for its people.

3. Deceipt and/or failure to correctly interpret intelligence has made a terrible mess with regards to Iraq. Bush has also done a remarkable job of using America's post-9/11 patriotism against the population. The rampant lies and deceipt is easier when the people want to support their president.

Now, let's see, what kind of countries have notoriously untruthful leaders? Does the USA really want to be associated with such governments?

Finally, we can all hope that the USA is not too far gone to recover from their foolishness. However, future leaders will know that the American voters are spineless and that they won' t be required to demonstrate anything better than the worst, unless the voters make an example of the unacceptability of his style of government.

I wish America the best, but can only wonder. . .

America's Bipolar Disorder

Has anyone noticed that American voters are becoming more polarized in their voting habits? I certainly remember encountering a few (mostly Republicans) over the years who proudly proclaimed that they voted strictly party line. However, these days, the numbers seem to be growing and I am now even hearing Democrats unashamed of the same mistake.

What could make a society more polarized? During the early days of the "New World", survival required a society willing and ready to pitch in and help its neighbors. Leniency was taught just as if it was a fundamental commandment.

Today, though, more of the media is pushing non-lenient agendas. Rush and his cronies are treating "liberals" as if it was a dirty word and many are proud to be caught in a lie just to prove how "patriotic" they are. Somewhere along the line, they've gotten the impression that lying to advance their own agenda is patriotic, whereas just the opposite is true.

Look at some of the most hateful societies in the world and you will find strong leaders that find their strength in preaching hate and intolerance of others. Gee, sounds like Bush's campaign strategy to me. Next time you watch a Bush ad, count the number of times he says Kerry. It's all about Kerry because there's not enough good-about-Bush to put in a 30-second ad. Then count the number of times Kerry ads smear Bush -- never [that I've seen, any way].

On the other hand, there are left-leaning reporters and authors who are just as anxious to advance their perspectives through negativisms. Some even go so far as to encourage anger and disgust at both the major political parties.

However, we don't find the level of hate and the extent of lies from the popular liberal sources like we see from the popular conservative media.

The bottom line is that societies need to discourage the preachers of hate. The bumper sticker is wrong, it's not Rush is Right, but Rush is Hate and must be stopped.

Day After Tomorrow Movie

What does Bush have to do with Day After Tomorrow?

I was listening to NPR do an article on the new movie as I was on my way to watch it. In question was the scientific likelihood of the show actually coming true. With that for a preface, the move was quite intense.

I had to laugh at the end, though, as the president appeared on TV and admitted that he had made a terrible mistake in not addressing the problems when there was still time. The words of our own great American president were ringing in my ears "it's not my fault", "It's Clinton's fault", "It's the CIA's fault", "I haven't made any mistakes."

Even before Bush trashed what good-will there was left for America in the world community, we were all beginning to realize that it was going to take us many years to recover from this presidential fiasco. Since then, it's only gotten worse, with worsening economy, worsening environmental problems, worsening anti-American sentiment across the world. Now we have to worry about worsening police state tactics, loss of civil liberties, loss of our constitutional freedoms of presumption of innocence, undue search and seizure, and countless more.

It's frightening to think what our world will be like on the Day After Bush's Tomorrow.
